Question 1: What drives you?
Giving people, consumers and fans a better experience tomorrow than today. The digital revolution is impacting our lives on so many levels that we can all live better, happier and more impactful lives.

Question 2: Why should the delegate attend your presentation?
This presentation will try and predict what will happen in the next 10 years for live sports viewing. Many big tech trends are driving new possibilities for ways fans are watching their favourite sporting events through many different broadcast channels and viewing screens. With concrete visions for the future Thomas Engel will show what new technologies are emerging and what applications can be built with these to create new and unique viewing experience.

Question 3: What emerging technologies/trends do you see as having the greatest potential in the short and long run?
Short term its all about access and engagement (connectivity and interactivity), long term we need to think about how more people can enjoy the technology that is available and how owns this. More long term these are major trends to watch out for; Blockchain, 5G, always-on communication, bundling vs unbundling

Question 4: What kind of impact do you expect them to have?
More people online, means more content consumed means and hopefully more leisure time with friends on and off screens.

Question 5: What are the barriers that might stand in the way?
The content space is fragmented and partly still in the old-world (cable TV) and the are part in the future (streaming and online), these worlds need to come together and open up, so more people get access to the content they love to watch.
